2024 · CALAME becomes AMBART

New address: Carrer de Can Savellà, 3

At this address, located in a district formerly known as Call menor, and more precisely designated by the term Argenteria d’Amunt, (‘upper silversmith’s quarter’), the activity of goldsmith artisans has been attested since the beginning of the 14th century. By exhibiting old furniture, photos, and workshop tools, our aim is to valorise the history of Argenteria Street and pay tribute to the families who, through their ART, patience, and savoir-faire, once contributed to the renown of local jewellery.

The traditional furniture you can observe originates from an authentic Majorcan workshop, which was inaugurated in this building in 1918 by the great-grandfather of jeweller Arturo Segura Fuster. Among these pieces of furniture, a workbench dated from the 18th century was used at a time when artisans still worked outdoors, before the advent of electricity.

AMBART · Es Taller

“Es Taller” means “the workshop” in Majorcan.” Arturo's workshop, now equipped with more modern tools - such as a laser engraving and cutting machine - continues its activity outside the city centre. We will be delighted to take care of your jewellery repairs and to accompany you for any custom jewellery creation project.
