A local jewellery workshop in Mallorca
Ambart works with a local jewellery workshop in Mallorca for bespoke jewellery, engravings and repairs. The workshop has been active since the early 20th century and continues a family tradition rooted in the historic silversmith quarter of Palma.
The original workshop was once located in the same building where Ambart is based today. Although the workshop is now outside the city centre, the link with this history remains.
We offer engraving, ring resizing, gilding, and jewellery repairs for silver and gold pieces only. Bespoke design is available occasionally, depending on the project.
Argenteria street
Ambart is located in the historic Argenteria d’Amunt (‘upper silversmith’s quarter’), where jewellery artisans have been working since the 14th century. In our shop, you can see traces of this history, including original workshop furniture and an 18th-century workbench, a reminder of a time when artisans worked by daylight, long before electricity.
In the back of the shop, books, old images and printed material provide context about traditional jewellery tools and techniques used in the area.
