The Maestro Range showcases Il Bussetto’s mastery of an ancient Tuscan technique that creates seamless leather pieces. This process involves molding wet leather over custom wooden forms shaped to the item’s interior, which, after drying, is individually dyed by hand with natural pigments. Edges are smoothed and polished with a small heated iron tool, the “bussetto,” from which the brand takes its name. As a final touch, the leather is waxed and buffed to a smooth, glossy finish, embodying Il Bussetto’s dedication to traditional craftsmanship.

Founded in 2004 in Milan, Il Bussetto is renowned for its elegant and functional small leather goods that celebrate Italy’s rich artisanal heritage. Each product is meticulously crafted from premium bovine leather sourced from the finest farms in Europe. Originally colorless, the leather is hand-shaped and individually dyed using natural tannins derived from trees like chestnut and quebracho. To hide any scratches and restore the leather’s shine, apply a thin layer of Il Bussetto colourless moisturizing cream to the entire painted surface, then rub vigorously with a soft cloth.
