2015 - 2022 · The CALAME boutique on Argenteria Street

From 2015 to 2022, at number 3 Argentería Street, in the heart of the old town of Palma de Mallorca, was the first version of Alice’s boutique, a charming and discreet branch of the Parisian store CALAME, which is now located at 15 Claude Bernard Street in the 5th arrondissement. Alice met Arno Lemaire there in 2004, while she was still in high school, and worked alongside him during her years of higher education, until 2014. It was in Paris, more than fifteen years ago, that she first became acquainted with collections of jewellery, accessories, stationery, and leather goods, which she still represents today with brands such as Mapoésie, 5 Octobre, Sophie Deschamps, Il Bussetto, Elam, Bleu de Chauffe, Tussor, Kisim et Anderson.

In addition to these encounters in the world of high-end artisanal accessories, made possible by Arno, she also discovered brands and designers through her art history studies at the École du Louvre, specialising in pre-Columbian arts. She thus met the archaeometallurgist Carole Fraresso, a specialist in Andean goldsmithing and founder of Maison Motché, and Constanza Ordoñez-Mönkehues, an ambassador of pre-Hispanic goldsmithing in Colombia and founder of Galeria Eldorado for reproductions of jewellery exhibited at the Gold Museum in Bogota. It was also at the Louvre, during the Biennale of the Carrousel des Métiers d’Art et de la Création, that she met Elisabeth Riveiro and her unique jewellery pieces made using the lost-wax casting technique.

While staying true to her first loves, Alice attends the Maison&Objet fair every year in Paris to meet her regular suppliers and, why not, to create new connections.

Today, it is in the new AMBART Boutique located at number 3 Can Savella Street that you will find all these collections, ranging from fantasy to unique pieces, reflecting Alice’s taste for arts, history, craftsmanship, leather, and refined objects that are both original and timeless. Alice loves to reveal the meaning behind her products and will always make sure to explain the symbolism of a pattern, a stone, a colour, or the specificity of a technique. So do not hesitate to step through the door to discover her ‘wonders,’ treat yourself, or get advice for a lovely gift!
